Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Kat, I was wondering... my nutritionist told me that after my surgery the most my stomach will ever hold is a half a cup at one time. Do you think she is out of her mind or is that true? Just wondering.

| Super Moderator | Well, your pouch is the size of a golf ball frist. As it heals, and as the months go by, it eventually stretches some, and becomes able to hold 3-4oz at a time at most. So, no, your nutritionist is not out of your mind.

5' 6" Height: | I know that I can eat more now then a month ago. I now have to "listen" more to my stomach and slow things down on the meal time or I end up eating too much before my brain has time to tell me to stop. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Christy I too have been eating bad lately. I've been trying to off set it with at least one salad per day, but I still have been eating a few things I shouldn't be.. Its time to get back on track and be good!! |

| Super Moderator | Ladies and gents, try to keep a record of what you eat. Not just online, but keep a small notebook or something with you, and record everything that goes into your mouth. It helps you watch what and how much you eat, and also, the physical process of writing by hand will often make you stop and think then and there. If there is anything that pulls your thoughts toward food, write that down, too. This should help you in figuring out why some things affect you the way they do, and also help you learn how to deal with them without turning to food.
