Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Lisa it's really smooth and has good taste. The strawberry is yum yum like the 31 Baskin Robbins strawberry ice cream seriously!

I added the 1/3 the chocolate flavor envelop to my coffee it tasted good but I had strange discomfort feeling: bloated, annoying fullness feeling, I think fast heart beat. Could be related to my TOM.

From reading the ingredients the powder itself has a hi content of caffeine so with addition to coffee it hmmmm!

Plus DocSanea thinks it has a lot of carb which makes it hhi-calorie.
So it's alright if you drink 1 or 2 of it a day!

I sure felt soooooo full that if I see food I feel Yuck!

I was trying to find the nutritional value on the shake but got frustrated looking and never found it.

PERSONALLY speaking here, if the carbs were high i wouldnt drink the stuff. I dont watch calories...but they usually go hand in hand.
HOW bad are the carbs in it?????? i mean i am a carb addict and need to always keep them way down or i loose control eating. JUST patterns i see with myself. WHEN i keep my carbs down i dont eat nearly as much as when i allow carb creep back in my diet.
I would concern on the caffine it does also trigger appetite some. I dont do much in caffine not a tea nor coffee drinker and gave up diet soda well before surgery. BE careful of the shakes that would scare me a little!

Here's my comment on seeing the breakdown.

Quote:
For one thing, total calories per serving 228 seems a bit high to me. That means, if, say, your daily intake is 1000kcal, just 4 servings of this will put you there!

Well, it does give you 37.8g protein, which is over half of what you need daily...and the protein amounts to 151 of the cals, so, that looks good.

The carbs total 48kcals. What bothers me is the 10g of sugars. What kind of sugar is it, refined or complex? In other words, polysaccharides like starch, or monosacchrides like glucose? If it's poly, that's fine, but if it's glucose and the likes, it's not so good. 10g amounts to 2 teaspoons.

If I remember correctly, I think most protein drinks and bars have on the average around 8g protein per serving, so go by that.

I was talking the other day with a cardiologist who's also a body builder (those muscle guys), so uses protein supplements for building up his muscles when training. He said that for normal people, total intake of protein should be kept under 100g, and to keep the intake from protein supplements at around 60g at most, 80g would be too much.

It really is for the best if you can get as much of your nutrients in as real food, so you need to keep the protein supplements at the help level, not the main stuff level.
Now a word about "carbohydrate addiction."
Is it truly carbohydrate addiction, as in, including all carbohydrates--both the the complex ones included as ingredients that occur naturally in food, and the refined ones that have been broken down into simpler sugars that are used as additives to processed food for taste as well as nutrition?
Or is it sugar addiction, craving for the the latter, the refined sugars?

You need to be clear on this, as a lot of food where the main nutrition is carbohydrate, also has a lot of fiber, cellulose, which belongs in the carbohydrate group, which is good for you.
Complex carbohydrates use a lot of energy to be broken down within your body to the forms of simpler sugars needed at that time, so this is good for you.
Refined sugars don't need that extra breakdown, and the leftovers that go unused are easily transformed into fats to be stored for later use, which in your case is not so good.

You need to cut down on the refined sugar, and get the carbohydrates you need (make no mistake, your body does need carbohydrates, and the recommended amount is 130g per day, as your brain cells can utilize only glucose-with an exception under extreme circumstances which shouldn't continue over an extended period of time- for energy and their activities) daily from food whose natural content includes the complex carbohydrates.

HANADI....
that drink is not out of range for carbs at all...the way you gals were talking i was expecting to see it in the 25 and up range.
THE carbs are in the my personal safe zones and i find the sugar is
right at the nose of a product i dont exceed 10.
SO i am certain there a good shake aside from the caffine issue.
I am clean of that.
GLAD your finding a protein drink that fills and satisfies you so much.
PROTEIN is supposed to be the best source to keep our small pouches
full so that we eat less.

ALL the best
for the findings of a wonderful doable shake for yourself.
hugs
