Lightbulb Christmas dinner

We had baked ham with a peach and mustard glaze, mashed sweet potatoes and a stuffing from a mix , but not much of anything. For dessert we had banana cream and chocolate death pies. We now have a fridge that's as stuffed as we used to be after a Christmas feast. Vive leftovers!!!

And then Dixie had a ham bone which she's been working noisily on for a few hours now.

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Thumbs up

Perfesser... i was a little worried about my first holiday on this plan. My surgery date isnt until January 27, but i am sticking as best i can to the lifestyle diet they gave me. So, for dinner i had 3 oz. ham, 1/2 C mashed potato (which my loving mom mashed with nonfat chicken stock instead of milk!), 1 C green beans, and 1/2 C baked corn. i did allow myself a small slice of pumpkin pie, too. All in all, not too bad a day!

Thanks for all your insight and advice here. You make my day!

We always do non-traditional christmas dinners. I had 2 1/2 wings, tablespoon potatoe salad, tablespoon dressing, 2 devilled eggs. Everything was made with splenda except 1 cup of fruit salad which was not a good idea. Whip cream, and marshmallow cream did not settle well.

We don't do traditional food on Christmas either, this time we had brisket, pinto beans, hot wings, macaroni salad and a sopapilla cheesecake. I had a little bit of all of it. There's not a whole lot of leftovers as there were 10 of us here yesterday and what is left I will send home with my son and his family this afternoon.

CT your meal sounds so good and I'm thinking Dixie really enjoyed her first Christmas dinner with you and Peanut!!

I'm crossing my fingers that Dixie doesn't get "loose" from that ham bone. I gave that to a dog friend of mine once.....and only once!! :P

My boyfriend and I had seafood for our Christmas dinner. Crab legs, crab cakes and shrimp. Served with sides of veggies. In two weeks we will be having the traditional Christmas dinner when his daughter and family come for a visit. Will have ham, but not sure what else yet. Definitely green bean casserole will be a side dish.
