Default 2/10/2012: stage 3: what did you eat for breakfast?

I had a soft boiled egg and a weight watchers cheese stick. Is that too much to eat for a stage 3 person?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Sounds ok to me, how did your tummy feel about it?
Cottage cheese is a good source of protein and easy to eat also, if you like it, plain yogurt?

My pouch responded well. I did a soft boiled egg and mashed it up real well and there was no problem and the cheese stick went down well also. I have yet to have any dumping and I have not found anything that disagrees with me yet. I have not been the best with keeping to the stage 3 applesauce consistency, though. I CANNOT stomach pureed food! I do like canned turnip greens, maranera sauce, & stewed okra and tomatoes mashed up for vegetables. I really eat the ricotta cheese and the cottage cheese in place of meat due to the texture of pureed food. Now last night was the first time for me to go out to eat. My daughter picked GOLDEN CORRAL for heaven's sake!!! Well, it wasn't that hard for me because everywhere you turn there are morbidly obese people gorging themselves and I just kept on thanking God for the opportunity I have been given to have a second lease on life. I mashed up maybe 2 Tbs. of green beans, 1/4 cup of meatloaf mashed up with gravy, 1 Tbs. cottage cheese. It all agreed with me BUT I did finally feel that full feeling that I have been wondering about. I know I ate too much. It didn't hurt but it was uncomfortable. Am I ruining my pouch by not doing pureed food?

my stage 3 isn't pureed food - that's stage 4.... and I'm limited in my veggies when I get there, they have to be skin free - so no corn, peas....

I'll see my nutritionist on Tuesday. She told me to start on some soft proteins - but was very specific:

greek yogurt
scrambled egg
oatmeal or cream of wheat made with milk and made thin
white fish like haddock or schrod

Sugar free pudding with protein powder mixed in, and maybe a little mashed banana in it has worked well for me.
