Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Since I'm pre-op I'm trying to psyche myself up and trying out different protein things, as well as practicing at least a semi-liquid diet. So I had:
B - chocolate sugar-free Slim Fast (not too bad)
S - sugar free jello cup & few cheese cubes
L - some kind of protein energy bar with 20 g. protein, can of V8 juice
S - cup of vegetable broth & cup of SF jello
S - (driving home from the office) another cup of veggie broth & a different protein bar .. it didn't taste all that great but was very chewy & filling .. sort of turned to a lump of clay in my tummy
D - ham & cheese cubes and left-over steamed squash

I don't know if that was a "good" day or not but I sure wasn't hungry when I went to bed and didn't wake up hungry either. Wondering if it was the lack of carbs or that protein bar made of modeling clay?

as a pre-op i am trying to prepare myself for the after eating stuff. I'm also hoping to lose some weight before my next dietician appointment so here's what i had
b-protien shake
l-protien shake with banana blended in
s-5 cucmber slices and 2 celery sticks
S-baked chicken and 8 brussel sprouts
s-banana and peanut butter
i've been allowing myself to actually BE hungry before i eat and trying to stop a meal when i'm full but not stuffed.

Let's see... not sure if I remember that far back!

B- quesadilla with ham and cheese
drink in between was some Carb Countdown Chocolate Milk
S- Q Smart Bar
Water
L- Carb Freedom yogurt with granola added and beef jerky
S- no afternoon snack
D - Italian meatloaf (made with italian sausage, ground beef and motzarella cheese topped with pasta sauce) YUM...was so good.
S - I never have an evening snack

Not enough water yesterday or today though. Yesterday was 48 oz. Today not even 36oz. I really need to work on my water. I am having a hard time in the last couple days due to the cold I have.

Mouse, i use a chocolate flavored protein powder, i make my folgers hazelnut coffee, i add 2 tsp of splenda the protein and a drop of coffeemate sugar free hazelnut creamer. I put it in the magic bullet for 2 seconds, longer if i want a more frothy coffee and thats it. Its so quick i do it at 5 30 and dont wake a sole in the house. I really enjoy this in the morning and then i have an achieve one protein coffee drink in the afternoon. I guess that explains why i dont sleep to good.

Treasured and Freebird its great that you are working on changing your eating habbits pre op....It will benefit you both during surgery and after. You want to eat a high protien low fat low carb diet prior to surgery so that your liver is in tip top shape and not fatty so the surgeon will have an easier time navigating ..... It also helps to post every day so you are more aware of what you are eating throughout the day!!!
