One of the only "complaints" I have since surgery is that when I sleep I get these really bad headaches.

At first, I thought it was from the morphine, but I only had that the first day after surgery and then stopped because I didn't have any pain and certainly did not want the side effects.
The Vicodin my doc prescribed seemed to help, so long as I was sitting up but the moment I laid down, my head would pound.

My husband thinks it may be an issue of lying "prone" versus sleeping elevated. I got one last night again and sleeping propped up seemed to help diminish the pain (along with a Vicodin and ice pak).
But today, the nurse from my insurance checked in on me and she suggested that it actually might also be some caffine withdrawal and if I have just a little (she suggested a couple of sips) that it may actually help.

I'll have to see what tonight brings and then decide tomorrow morning.
