Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | HI CHUPPY! when i was on my clear liquids i just kept sippin all day this is what i used and did a variety to help! I did clear liquids for two full weeks. CRYSTAL LIGHT, Sugar free kool AIde, LO sodium chicken broth, beef broth, sugar free jello, sugar free Ice pops, diet snapple apple, propel water, water, watered down apple juice. Isopure juice flavors . I mainly liked the broth. THE warm felt the best on my tummy..i did add soy protein powder unflavored to the broth week to to get some protein in me. BUT at time of me comeing home from surgery the weather was in the 90's here and the ice pops cooled me down too! ALL the best lisa

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Chuppy.... You must be on the two weeks of liquid after your surgery. I asked my nurses about this....I didn't understand why some of you were doing this...and I am now on Soft foods/Purees. I am happily OFF liquids.... You will mostlikely loose a large portion again this week - where I may not with soft foods! I guess we'll see......

| Super Moderator | The diet programs for post ops differ with every surgeon, depending on his/her experience, and where the surgeon trained. Although you may get tired of, or have a hard time following your surgeon's instructions regarding your diet, it is best to follow your own surgeon's instructions, since he/she is the one who did the surgery, and knows you personally. It is fine to know what other surgeons require, and patients say, but stick with what you are required to do, to assure the shortest recovery with least complications. Don't forget your water, even if your meals have been upgraded to pureed and soft foods.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Just saw the "no hunger" first off today.... I woke late and didn't dring my protein shake until 11am...and then got distracted with WORK....I didn't realize that 4 hours flew by until I was feeling a little dizzy...and decided to go back to my recliner...and my hubby and I realized - I hadn't eatten very much and was drastically OFF my doctor's schedul for me....I ate chicken/onion puree...then, an hour & half later drank more Isopure....couple hours later we at dinner...and I had chicken, refried beans, and guacamole.... I tried sooo hard to concentrate on my liquids and getting in more food/meals and water. I'm better now...no longer dizzy... but, I'm scolded - and need to take this more serious...setting my alarm again. We got out of this habit this week...but back we go!!
