Going off topic, but
Ummm, to be accurate, it's "konnichiwa".
Actually, good morning is "ohayou gozaimasu" or just "ohayou" to people whom you know well.
Konnichiwa is more like good day, so we're likely to use it late in the morning (if we do say it before noon) into the afternoon.
For evening/night, it's "konbanwa." If you are saying good night to someone before sleep, it's "oyasuminasai"
Good bye in general, is "sayounara."
Incidentally, the consecutive vowels in Japanese are pronounced indepedenly, so, "ohayou" is close to "Ohio" in pronounciation, and to the unfamiliar ear, it may actually sound like Ohio, the "o" and "u" together sounding like a lengthened o as in oh. So, if you come here and hear a lot of people saying "ohio" in the morning, they are actually saying morning greetings. Adding "gozamiasu" make the greeting politer.
So, how do you say the greetings in Arabic?
Oh, yeah, since I posted here, even though I'm a normie, just FYI.
