Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  WOW moment We wear scrubs at works and I was always wearing the XXXL pants and shirts. Well now 64 lbs later I wore an XL today!!! It felt SOOO good and I got a million more compliments! I was always an XL girl, but for the last 4 years I've been MUCH bigger. Today gave me a little taste of getting back to 'normal'. I can't wait to even get past normal (overweight since I was 9. Usually between 205-210 my adult life) and see what THIN feels like!!!!!!!! I'm on my way!!!!

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I say 'thank you' about 50 times a day (literally). I always hear 'you're melting away', 'you look so great', hey skinny', etc... I mean sometimes the same person will say it 10 times! I get asked all the time how I'm feeling and how much have I lost too. To me it isn't what people say to me, it's the way they look at me. Especially if they think I don't notice. It's almost an astonished, shaking their head kind of disbelief look, but I mean that in a good way, with a little smile on their face. It just tells me that if someone has this look AND says something, I know they mean it. I don't like attention, so it's really hard sometimes. But especially today I felt so great and it was nice that other people are noticing what I am. That means it MUST be real!

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Kelly - I can totally identify with you!!! Think for a minute about your pre-op self. I was typically upbeat, reasonably friendly, etc but I get comments on how much happier I am now. It's no wonder, when we're not so darn exhausted all the time. I used to wake up tired! It only gets better  I wore scrubs for years and have only recently switched over to the business clothes side; last nite I was talking to a friend who had an interesting job lead for me. It would be working front desk again, which I did forever and kinda burned out on, but I'm so tired of sitting on my butt all day that it actually sounds good to me. I loved wearing scrubs before so I'm thinking it would be a good thing.....
