| Body wrap...
Did my body wrap this morning...it was interesting....they weighed/measured me before.....then wrapped my legs and torso....
In total, I lost 12 5/8 inches over all....areas ranged from measuring ankles, upper thigh, lower thigh...hips, waist, etc....
Not sure I'm sold on it, but it's the first one....skin is still sagging, but appears to be firmer....

I've heard about that, so you arent sure you are sold uh! I am cruising in Feb. and I heard they do those wraps on the ships and was gonna do it then. 12 5/8 is alot though I think. I was wondering if you did it to tighten up the loose skin or what???? kATHY

I don't think body wraps are anything permanent. I used to be in the Navy Reserves for 25 years. Each year we had to pass a "body fat measurement", which was totally based on a ratio of neck measurement to waist measurement, and height. I know of one CPO who used to get an appointment with a body wrap to shrink some off of his stomach to pass this test every 6 months. DAVE

Sounds interesting. I don't know if I want to be wrapped in plastic like a fish from the market LOL. I have heard of the body wraps before. We have this "procedure" for lack of a better word where you are hooked up to some electrodes and I guess electrical currents flow through it. It is supposed to burn 2,500 per 1 hour session. I wanted to try it but I don't feel like being barbecued either

We have a place here in the middle of no where belive it or not that does this. The lady that is part owner claims to have lost 75 lbs in 3 years doing this and several inches. I will say she looks great. The way I have to look at it is this.......how many times have we blown our money on stuff that dont work? Whats a few more bucks? LOL. If you find this does work let us know.

I asked my doc once about body wraps for weight loss, he stated is was water weight that you lose. After a few days you will gain it back. =0( let us know how it goes.

Will did this once when he was trying to pass his tape test, you see when you are in the military and weigh more then they "think" you should you have to be tape measured everywhere and they get a % of body fat from the measurements anyways he did this and in my opion it was a waste of money, but hey he didnt have lose skin like us either so if it tightens the skin I say go for it

I did a LOT of research on this before I signed up (you guys know how I am) ....I did it to tighten up the skin some...I figured, try this before the drastic measures of surgery....they are NOT cheap...about $135 per wrap...I will say the skin seems tighter....I did what they call a power wrap...which is to firm the skin. They have another one that is heat based that will burn fat....you burn anywhere from 1500-2000 calories in one session..she told me anywhere between 3-5 pounds....I may try that one too....it's a lot of water weight coming off, but it also compacts the skin.
I know one person here who does them...and I've talked to others elsewhere....I'm pleased with the results. The whole process takes about 2 hours...they wrapped me in ace bandages and pulled them VERY tight. The bandages are soaked in some "SECRET" solution. They then put a poncho over you to help keep in the heat (the bandages are warm to start off with, but cool off fast). They then put me on this glider thing (not for the exercise, but for slow movement to promote circulation). I did that for 20 minutes. They take you off and empty the water out of the bags around your feet, put more solution on you and you glide for 20 more minutes....repeat the process...glide for 20 more and you're done. The wraps were removed, then you are re-measured to see the impact. They told me to NOT shower for 24 hours after, drink lots of water and avoid alcohol.
It was interesting...still....not sure I'm sold on the process...we'll see. I did it really to see if it would firm up sagging skin.
