| A nice WOW with my wife!
Last night we were in Mankato late, so I decided to take Peanut out for dinner. She is still on limited solid foods, so I took her to Perkins to have breakfast for dinner. I bought one omelet (ham, sausage, bacon, cheese and tomato) and asked the server to bring us an extra plate. The eggs came with a side of pancakes, so I had her bring SF syrup.
When it came, Peanut cut off the end of the omelet and took one pancake. I kept the breakfast potatoes and the other two pancakes. She was a good girl and ate her eggs first, but then she treated herself with about a third of the pancake. I ate most of what was left of my omelet (at least 3/4 - Peanut can't eat a whole lot yet!), had a few pieces of potato and ate some of the remaining pancake. (It was pretty good, too!)
We both got full, both left a pretty good chunk of the carbs, and felt like we had really been treated well. The omelet was delicious, by the way! Cost less than $10- for the whole tab (no drinks, either!).
Looks like I've got myself a cheap date!! And we both enjoyed it immensely!!

We wouldn't need special permission to order off the senior's menu. Maybe we'll split one of those when she gets back onto a more regular diet. The server was really nice about it, even brought two extra plates (one for the omelet and one for the pancake.) With dinner being so cheap, we had no problem leaving a nice tip for her.

Great date! It sounds like since you've saved on the tab...you can always make the server happier in tips. I do this all the time! Take home leftovers are always nice for an extra meal or two.
kawahine!!

In my house it would be ordering two omelets and hubby eating my leftovers or taking them home. He needs to start watching it. I'm afraid I have made both him and the dog pack on the extra pounds by eating my leftovers!
