Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  What a Suprise! Wellllllllllllll, The girls at the office have been on me about getting smaller clothes. One reason is that one of the girls wants my stuff  I must admit that my pants were looking a bit like an MC Hammer flashback. So, with coupon in hand I went to Lane Bryant. I tried Walmart first but couldn't find anything to fit proper. I packed all my 20's pants and skirts up and kept my 22/24 shirts. I got into LB and found a pair of petit jeans and khakis in an 18P and then got some t shirts in an 22/24. It was then that I realized that during my vast growth period, I must have stretched out my shirts and pants.(if that possible) Imagine my shock when I walked out and the sales girl was like , "thats too big, you need a smaller size.) So, I walked out with 1 pair of jeans and one pair of khakis size 16p. I also got 2 sweaters and 2 basic long sleeve t's size 14/16. I got in the car and screamed with joy.

| I had my own wow moment last week. I needed to keep going out and getting smaller sizes. It was so nice and I could not wait to get home to show everyone...like school shopping in the ol'days. You know it is funny now that I can wear things that actually fit people are noticing my weight loss more. I geuss the baggy clothes still helped me look big. Have you noticed that?? How happy you must feel, nothing tastes near as good as that wow moment. Cannot wait for the next one. robbin

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass |  Shopping/ritual slaying of old fat clothes! Isn't it just liberating to get out of those 'fat' clothes!! I'm still in large sizes, after all I am 274 lbs. BUT all of those 30/32 and 26/28 clothes that were my 'comfort' clothes we have begun to BURN them!! To me it is a sneaky way of telling my subconscious that we are so NOT going there anymore!! Every time I wear one of my old disney t-shirts (that are too big for anything but possible sleep-or dog beds?) Rob makes me take it off and he (drum roll please)....throws it into the wood stove--back to the gates of Misery where it belongs! The really good things that I can't bear to burn I want to give them to friends or sell them on ebay?? Has anyone tried that? I have some brand new clothes that were too small so I never wore them, now they are too Big! I have a really beautiful deep purple (like velour or velvet?? soft anyway) pant/shirt outfit that I got for Christmas last year that I need to find a new home. Never worn. Started out too small and now is too big. I guess I am just astonished at how many clothes I have been waiting to fit into 'someday', and someday came and went so quickly I passed it by!! Well, I'm starting to babble! Congratulations and keep cruisin' the downward scaleway!
