|  Big wow moment!
Hi all,
I had the most unexpected wow this morning. Coming out of my apartment, I noticed that my tire was low, but decided to have my daughter run me to work and have the tire checked on her way home. About a mile and a half from the house, the front tire blew and separated from the tire rim!  We were right in the middle of traffic but thank God I wasn't speeding. We pulled over to the side of the road, and I reached in my purse for my cell. My sweet 18 yr old daughter lost her cell privilages, so she'd taken mine from my purse and left it at home. I don't have roadside coverage so, I walked the 1.5 miles back home in 2 inch heels! ( I left her with the car so I wouldn't be tempted to push her into traffic), woke my husband up, put on my running shoes, and we walked 1.5 miles back to the car. Then it hit me. I'd just walked 3 miles in about 45 minutes, with half of it going up hill! I was fine! No leg or back pain (herniated discs) not out of breath (chronic bronchitis), barely sweating. I felt good! There is no way I could have walked 3 miles two months ago. If losing 45 pounds makes this much difference, I can't wait to see and feel what its like when I reach goal!  |
