Default My Old/New Clothes

I am So excited!!!

I decided to sort out my summer & winter clothes (and put away winter), throwing away the 'Really Big' clothes. I had so many clothes of so many different sizes (especially 18, 22, 26, and so on) that I had FOUR lawn and leaf bags to dispose of!!! I COMMITTED to never need those sizes again! That wasn't what excited me though.

There are LOTS of smaller clothes that I can WEAR, some of which I have NEVER been able to wear since I bought them (for the start of my last job 6/2001)!!! I thought I had "not really gained that much weight" at that point.

I am RIGHT NOW wearing a nice burgundy shirt, and green Chinese pants that I've never worn. Soooooooooooo happy!!! I'm REALLY changing. YAY!

This is me in 2000 as a size 7 or 9. By 2001 I already over 200 lbs!!!
What happened? I got married and my hubby is a chef!

Hope everyone else is well!

XOXO
Mya

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Yes - It is wonderful to fit into new clothers. I was a size 24 and starting to get tight - after 3 months almost a soze 18. I gave all the winter big clothes to Big Sisters Shop for charity as I never want to go back to that size. Also in February early March I found a shop with a terrific sale of winter clothes so I replaced my wardrobe with size 16's ---so now I have a goal come September that I better fit into them. Weight loss has been slow in April - I think it is not enough water and protein - I'm going to the health food store today to stock up again on liquid protein I can't stand the Whey/milk stuff. I'm down 65 lbs. since surgery Jan. 10/07 and everything else is going OK. I've dumped a couple of times after eating out but think I probably ate too fast with talking to friends etc. and did not take my time. I really enjoy this site and all the losers and good ideas. Thumbs up getting rid of clothing we don't need anymore

here's an idea on getting rid of the big clothing..which is SO much fun to get rid of!!!

A LOT of the battered women's shelters need large size NICE clothing. So often these women come to the shelters with only what they have on their back OR they've been relocated from another state and need nice clothing for job interviews..

it's a way to give back to others AND get rid of clothing that we will never ourselves wear again.

Thanks for the comments/suggestions!!! It really helps to have encouragement!!!

I think I know a place where I can donate the clothing. I used to run the counseling program at our local Domestic Violence shelter--and frankly they are so swamped w/donations that they have a policy of "in season only" regardless how NICE the clothes are!!! But there's a foodshelf that has a big free clothing bin...

My weight loss has been slow last month also. That's part of the reason it is SUCH a boost to fir into some of these sizes!!!

I even notice that I LOOK much trimmer in my smaller clothes than I do hanging around in sizw 18 or 22's--even though they're made out of stretchy material and aren't "falling down". Ah joy!

XOXO
Mya
