I went to the doctor today and I lost 17lbs in two weeks, I thought it would be more but I am happy with that. That makes a total of 30 lbs lost in a month if you count my 2 week pre-op liquid fast.

Congratulations! We had surgery 4 days apart so we are somewhat on the same stage. I say, even if you only lose 1 lb its still 1 lb closer to your goal.
I lost 14lbs in 5 days...and have continued. I had a minor set back the other day. I gained 7 back but it turned out to be water weight so I am back on track. I was VERY down in the dumps about it though. Dont let anything discourage you at all. I just assume my body is confused and trying to figure things out. Remember one day, one pound at a time.
Stay positive and you will soon find that it will all just melt away....

Thanks guys I am happy, I just thought it would be a larger loss. My surgeon was happy. But I did get a scolding because I have not been getting my water in and she wants me to get in 60 grams of protein and I have been lucky if I get in 20 but I am going to do better.

Go the the grocery store and look at 3 ten pound bags of sugar or..... 6 5lbs bags. Its alot of weight ! Better yet pick them up and hold it. Your doing really well.

Congratulations on your weightloss, way to go!!
Yes, getting water and protein in early out isn't easy, but keep in mind, it is for the best for you, so you do need to do your best to get there. It is sooo worth it all.

Hey Rozzy, your doin' a fine job . I just wanted to stop by and whisper in your ear that all of us will lose weight at different speeds so don't compare yourself to others it's painful. If you can remember that, you'll have a easier time of it. I lost 19 lbs. in my first 2 weeks, so we're pretty close in weight loss in the first 2 weeks. There will be times that you lose lots of weight at one time and then there will be times that you might not lose any weight, there are lots of variables, so hang in there. We are all rooten for you
Debbie

Roz, 30 pounds--way to go-clap,clap,clap!!! Honor each pound that you've lost. I know I was feeling the same as you about my weight loss in the beginning. I was jumping on the scale everyday--now I am learning to take each day and tell myself I am doing the right things to get my body healthy . Good job Roz--celebrate your accomplishments!!
