I think we've all been there. I was surprised at how many girls and women on campus meet my eyes and smile now. Yes, our society is prejudiced. It's not personal. It's just that fat people often choose to fade into the background to avoid being noticed. Society's just responding by letting them be invisible.
But that doesn't mean we can't treat them like humans.
