So, I went to the mall for the first time since moving here. Who knew there was one less than 3 miles away.
Anywhoo, i decided today I was going to sneak out uncovered. Please dont think I'm crazy. But even in this heat, I go out with a hooded sweatshirt jacket thingy (light cotton not fleece or anything) as my security blanket. (similar to the one in my before picture in my signature) I'm ALWAYS covered up but today, I thought I'd be bold and just make a run for it. I put on some lip gloss and mascara and did exactly that.
So we got there. I thought wow this isnt too bad. No one's staring at me,I feel pretty confident, I'm standing up straight etc. so I walked thru the mall, bought some things AND A FINE YOUNG GENTLMAN STOPPED ME,
GAVE ME HIS NUMBER,AND ASKED IF I'D LIKE TO GO OUT SOMETIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He didnt look like a deadbeat either (that's what I usually attract) We spent about an hour or so looking at CD's in the music store and just talking.
The reason why I am posting this is not to brag or be full of myself, its to share with my friends and family. NO ONE has ever approached me like that ever. In my entire life. And I know I am not and will never be a supermodel, but it feels good to know that at the very least I am now approachable. I used to walk around looking at the floor, avoiding eye contact etc. NO MORE!!! NO MORE I TELL YOU!!!!!
Needless to say, I will probably NOT go out, I'm SOOOOOO not ready for that just yet BUT it was nice
and at least I got practice talking to strangers LOL!
