Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I was so proud I finally made it to under 300. I went to my surgeon and he said I am losing weight on the slow side. It totally brought me down. I am so sad. What am I doing so wrong?? It seems like I am doing all I can do. I will try stepping up my exercise. I am so depressed.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Yeah. what is he talking about???? I think you're doing great. and look at it thid way, would you have lost this much in this time frame without the surgery? You have to take stalls into consideration also. I am no doctor, but i think you're doing great. Keep up the good work. if you can, add some more exercise and make sure you are still on top of your protein and your fluids. We're here with you every step of the way. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | My goodness 74 lbs in 5 months is astonding to me. The question here is how to do feel physcially? If your feeling good that is what counts. Honey dont get depressed. Now tell me could you have lost that much weight otherwise? I think its time for you to compare pictures of before and now. |

| Super Moderator | Aww ((((((HUGS)))))) You are doing wonderfully well. Don't let what your surgeon said to you get you down. The next time you see him, tell him that his words had upset you and made you feel depressed. He probably didn't say so to depress you intentionally. Follow your surgeon's instructions, and keep up with your exercise, and tell your surgeon you're doing exactly as he's telling you. That is enough. May your journey go well.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Doc is right! You know come to think of it I seen another post in here that the two ladies did the surgery if not the same day within just a few days of each other. One lost fast and the other lost slower. When the year mark come both had lost the same. The fast one slowed down to where the slower one just continued to lose at the same pace. So in the end it come up the same. He probally didnt know he hurt your feelings. So Doc is right when she said to tell him. Im sure he will explain what I just said. We are all gonna lose weight differently. The end result is what matters. That is why I give myself until Dec 2009 to get mine totally off. My Surgeon told me the WLS will only take off 60-80% of what needed to be lost. The rest would be up to me. Plus I have another ultimatim. My wedding anniversy is Jan 6th. That is the year I want to be off someowhere not home ringing in the new year and celebrating our anniversery. So chin up honey. Smile.... your doing FANTASTIC!!!! |
