Talking I am home from the hospital!

This was my WOW moment (well maybe more than a moment). I had my surgery on Tuesday, most of that day is a blur but everything seemed to go as planned. I had a great surgical team, I can't say enough about how wonderful everyone was at the hospital and the excellent level of care I received. And my surgeon is so skilled. Really if it weren't for the slight discomfort I had from the drainage tube and the little incisions I have, I would have really question whether I had surgery or not. I feel really good. Only used a little morphine in the hospital and then stopped that right away because of the headaches I was getting -- which by the way (praise God) is the only real pain I seem to suffer, but the Vicodin seems to help with the headaches.

I had my first 2 oz of liquid protein last night for "dinner" and then I had 5 oz this morning and another 5 oz for lunch. While I'm not hungry at all; I know I have to eat to build my strength up -- but I'm truly not having any problems. Water is so GOOD! I really hated the whole day that I could only swab my mouth out. And thanks for the tip on the lip balm, because it was so true! I have been sleeping so much -- but boy sleeping in my own bed versus the hospital bed was a dream!

I also want to thank everyone on this site, because all the information and knowledge you all have shared made such a big difference for me too. I knew what to expect and that made a big difference in making it through the whole process. I have to admit though -- I did not have that "What did I do to myself" moment. Right now, I am so pleased that I had this surgery I can't even describe it. I only can hope that things continue to progress as well as they have started.

Now I'm joining the Losers Bench and so HAPPY to be there! So move on over and make room for one more!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.
