I've had a couple of wow moments this week that have really blown my mind...

Last Thurs, I was at work and this girl who I think looks normal tells me that I am now smaller than her. I, of course, said that she was crazy. Turns out, she's wearing 16's and I just bought my first 14's. So I stewed on that for a few days.

Now yesterday, a girl in my office who I think is just the perfect size said to me, "OMG, you're in a 14 now. Well, when you're done with the 12's pass them on." Holy Crap! She's perfect, she's wearing a 12 and I'm almost there! Even weirder, I'm only one size bigger than her!!! and I think she's perfect!!

So now I'm trying to wrap my mind around being a normal size. In the past, even when I was a normal size, I didn't think I was so it's really freaky. I know it takes quite some time for our brains to catch up so it will take me a while.

What are some of your experiences?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

That is sweet! CONGRATS!!!!!!

Mine was getting a huge bag of clothes from my Aunt in 18/20 and thinking I couldn't wear them for a while since a lot of them were 1X / XL. I decided to try on some of the knit pants since I had my tummy cut on for some female tune up stuff, and darned if they aren't pretty much too big. I'm kind of doing the old man thing with them....

well, i have the exact same issue. i dont by any means SEE myself the way I am. I am on a 10 now...which is getting loose by the way...but one of my coworkers who is teeny tiny just confessed to me the other day that she is an 8. its hard to comprehend. I mean you KNOW you wear a size X but you dont view yourself as a size X....hard to explain.
the only time i can truthfully aknowledge it is in photos. in the mirror i am still a 22/24.

Congrats on your wow moments. Amazing. And yes its hard to compare our old selfs to our new selfs. As someone else says it is much easier to see it in photos. Our minds still need to catch up. And someone else said to have a friend or family point someone out in a crowd that they think is about your size. I think that is good idea.

Congratulations, i too have been there and know how good it can make you feel. For me compliments are hard to accept. i still see myself as the fat lady. I still refer to myself that way.... But when people come up and say things like that, when you think they look good, is a totally awesome feeling.
Keep it up, and good luck on your journey, may you have many more wonderful moments to comment and share.
