Listen all. Big insight for me yesterday, after surgery more than 3 months ago almost 4 I have noticed something very very weird, MY SKIN is is very loosely, I can grab it there are some areas where I can pinch it and grab it. my legs, my belly and my not so big butt.

Any comments or sugestions, hey the bathing suit is falling nedd to get a new one. the once bathing suit I had which I had to make such a big ritual to get into it, just imagine if a happy smile would have been drawn in the back of the suit, when I got in it would it turned sad.

Today is the need of a new swimming suit and of course the skin issue , I know this is supposed to be "Normal" but any tips or suggestions besides the excersice.

Love it Guys.....

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I wish I did!!! I plan to dress to hide as much loose skin as possible. At WW they told us drinking skim milk would help the skin, if that's the case I'd hate to see how I'd look if I hadnt been drinking it! Congrats on needing a new bathing suit -- that's a good thing! I've also heard a few people suggest that over time your skin shrinks some, waiting to see about that too.

If you were a gal, I would say, go look for swim suits that have hidden support foundations in them (there are such suits) but for a guy...
All I can suggest is the full body type suits that competitive swimmers wear, and these, of course, aren't fit for the beach....
Other than a tummy tuck at the appropriate time, the only thing I can suggest is--yep, you've got it, exercise...try 100 sit ups per day?

Hang in there, (((((HUGS)))))

I know that you specified other advice than exercise but I am going to give it anyways. I am 9 weeks post op. At 3 weeks post op I started doing exercise (cardio and weights). In the beginning it was very tough as I have to get up at 5:30 am to do it. But now, it is easier and by 7:30 I am all done.
I started this early on as I was very worried about the loose skin and all of my reading just pointed back to exercise. So I started and in 6 weeks and loosing 50+ pounds, my skin is much firmer and tighter than before. I was a sceptic, but it really works. I think that I will have a small amount of loose skin but if I keep up the exercise I think I will not have any more than others who have given birth.
Don't rule out the exercise - it not only prevents loose skin but just makes your days soooo much better. My skin has cleared, I can run up stairs, I am able to do Bob's boot camp - in just 6 weeks - give it a try.

I found for -me- that it was a combination of running AND weight/aerobic training..

skin would loosen, harden fat areas soften....then tighten gently...then loosen, wrinkle and I'd think...oh my gosh this is terrible...and then it'd gently tighten up..

re: my abs in my pic BTW that's 600 reps a day 5-6 times a week NOT sit ups...specific ab work for all upper/lower/middle/sides with 100 reps per area.

but that kind of bit me in the butt with this injury I had as my abs were so very strong they took over the job of the pelvic floor so the PT had me cut out the ab work for a very very long lengthy time.

I'll step in here and say for the record...I've been killing myself in the gym....and after losing nearly 100 pounds in less than 6 months, I can honestly say....THERE IS NO AMOUNT OF EXERCISE that will fix some of my "areas".

Everyone's skin has different elasticity, depending on age/pigment etc. I've had 2 kids and there is NO way my stomach will EVER go back without surgery....stretched skin does NOT bounce back. I could do a thousand crunches a day, and it would never go back....

Don't get me wrong...I FULLY agree that we must exercise after surgery, and believe me...I'm doing my part....I think you HAVE to be realistic though....exercise isn't going to do it for everyone....! Depending on elasticity and quick weight loss....plastics or hiding it under clothes may be your options....

i agree kath, exercize isnt gonna take care of it all but it really does help alot! along with the fact that we are losing weight so fast it will take time for the skin to shrink, our bodies cannot keep up with alot of this, so my suggestion...exercize (sorry i know u didnt want to hear that) and patience!!
BTW...TGG havent seen u in awhile...new pics???

I think a lot depends on your age and heredity. If you were blessed with very elastic skin and the younger you are, the better chance you have for your skin to bounce back. I come from very wrinkly people. Even without WLS my family looks like Sharpei's by the time they are 50. I don't have a chance without surgery. Dang, I think I inherited all the bad stuff.
