Unhappy So depressed

I had gastric bypass on January 14, 2008. It's been almost 5 weeks and my weight is at a stand still I've had a 28lb weight loss for 2 weeks now. It's so depressing, it makes me want to fall into old habits of eating for no freakin reason, I'm not hungry just mentally feel like it will make me feel better, strange i guess. Any advice???

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hello girlfriend!
I wrote almost the same thing today. 1/2 pound in a week
Don't know what to say to make you feel better - every one was super sweet about it though - happens to most every one - BUT SUCKS NONE THE LESS.

Your body is still healing -- it takes 3-4 months to heal completely and adjust and regain the functions it needs to regain. You just had major surgery, so your body needs to adjust to that first. The weight loss will come along once it's settled for this phase. I have to warn you, though, the weight loss will not come in one smooth fell swoop until you reach goal, it will continue in humps and bumps.
As Kenyar says, when the scale is not moving, that's when the inches are. So, be sure to keep a record of your measurements as well as the scale.

((((((HUGS))))) You're doing fine.

Ummm 28 Lbs Is Dam Good. You Would Of Never Lost That Much With Out The Surgery Hun. You Didnt Gain This Wt Overnight So You Wont Lose Over Nite. 28 Is Great For Only 5 Wks, Thats More Than 5.5 Lbs Each Wk. You Body Is Holding On To Its Own Fat In Order To Heal. Remember Your Body Has Endured A Major Shock And Doesnt Know What To Do.

Stalls will come and go, your body definitly is losing inches during this time that you stall. It will take a few stalls before you realize this, no it doesnt make you feel any less frustrated, but it is just part of the journey.
