Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I lost my job 5 months ago, I do not have insurance and it's been about 7 months that i saw my doctor. I'm not losing weight, not gaining either. I have alot of stress and my eating habits and exercise plan have not been consistant. I'm not sure where to turn, it's been since 6-1-07 since i had my surgery. ![]()

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | You still have your tool. Go back to your "basics". Focus on your protein and water intake. Then follow up with veggies and fruits. You know what to do, you just have to put it back into action. Good luck! We're here for ya.... |

Weight Loss Method - | I am sorry to hear that you have all of that on your plate. I understand completely about the insurance thing. I haven't had insurance for 6 months. Can you apply for medicaid or any state run health insurance? Since you are unemployed at the moment, I'm sure you'll qualify. Can you call your Dr.'s office and discuss with him/her that you don't have health insurance but if he/she could give you advice over the phone or set up a payment plan with your Dr. I have been lucky in that aspect. My PCP sees me at a discounted rate or tries to take care of my problem over the phone. Just a thought....(((HUGS))))

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | GREAT BIG HUGS!!!!! What a stressful time for you! Like the ladies above have said, go back to basics. As for the Doctor thing, If you are unemployed can you get welfare help? In NZ we have a very good social and medical system (though most people still moan about it), we are extremely lucky, just long waiting lists! I hope that you can find a solution quickly. Talk to a social worker type person and see what your options are. Having this surgery, you do need to be under medical supervision, so you may qualify for something (??) Best wishes! |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I am not eligible for any type of gov't assistance. I just started a new job about a month ago and insurance will not pick up any existing medical issues. I will have to pay out of pocket. I took a cut in pay about $ 500 a month and still have medical bills to pay. I will follow up on getting back to basics.

| Super Moderator | ((((((HUGS)))))) Sticking to the basics is the best way. Even if your new medical insurance won't pick up existing conditions, isn't there a loophole somewhere? I sure hope you'll be able to find some way.
