Default I'm NEW here..

Hello....

My name is Meloney, and I had the RNY surgery over three years ago. I lost 170 pounds in a 19-month period and am doing great.

My question... is there anyone here who has had ths surgery over two years ago? Any weight gain? What kinds of things are YOU experiencing?

Thanks!
Meloney

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Meloney,

Things have been awesome. I vary about 7 pounds through out a year but land back at goal.

My um teeth are great according the dentist a couple of weeks ago. What other rumors?

BTW, I visited your site. Great start. let me know if there is anything I can help with.

Craig

Default Those rumors...

Craig...

The teeth and the some weight gain back are the two biggest ones. The teeth relate to the calcium thing, so the bone condition is the next biggest one. I have come across two people who are about two years post-op, and both have told me that their "teeth" problems are costing them over $8K to fix because of the surgery caused soe deficiencies... and you've never experienced this kind of thing for NINE years post-op?

My teeth are okay and I do take very good care of them. I'm nearing 50 yrs. old (3 years away now) and my teeth are just getting OLD, you know! So I don't know if I am going to have problems later on.

And my bones are okay... I have arthritis anyway.. mild, and that's just something that doesn't totally disappear after surgery, although i have gotten rid of about 80% of my Uncle Arthur.

The other rumors relate to divorce, etc. My marriage is wonderful, though they say that divorce is a HUGE factor after the surgery. I know at least 5 gals whose husbands have initiated a divorce. Unbelievable how jealousy kicks in. What do you know about that factor, or rather, what are your own observatinos?

And hey.... THANKS for your comment on my site! I VALUE your opinion! There is one thing I could use..... a link exchange would be so wonderful. Is that possible?

I think I've asked you SO MUCH already! These rumors drive me nuts and people are asking ME about them since I'm more than three years out. And I don't know the answers yet... so I appreciate YOUR knowledge and experiences very much.
