Hello...my name is Shannon. I had surgery on Feb. 7 and have been reading posts since January for info and support. I finally got up the courage to introduce myself. I have been heavy on and off my whole life. I have gone on all the lastest and greatest fad diets with short lived success. I finally decided that it was time to take care of me. I made up my mind to go for the surgery in Dec. My mother had RNY about 6 years ago and looks fantastic. I am looking forward to all this journey has to offer!

My mom is doing great! She started at 287 and currently weighs about 135 and is a size 4. She is so happy and healthy. I hope I am lucky enough to have such great results!
