Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass |  Starting My Journey Hi there, My name is Ella. I live in Oregon and am at the beginning of my journey. I have been heavy my whole life and am finally at the age where I have decided that it is time to get my life back. Not just for myself but for my 4 year old daughter too. She deserves a mom who can do things with her! I am at the beginning stages of the process. I have located a surgeon and have attended the seminar and sent initial paperwork in. Now I am waiting to see what the insurance company is going to come back with and how hard of a fight it is going to be to get approved. I am really hoping that they are not going to make me jump through a million hoops but I am not holding out much hope for that. I am reading everyone's stories and they are so inspiring. I have chosen the bypass surgery. I was originally going to do the LapBand but decided against it for a number of reasons. I look forward to getting to know everyone.... Here is to the good fight!
