Default Hello Again

Hi All,

I know it has been quite a while since I have posted. I have been having a heck of a time. 10 days post-op I developed an ulcer well, 7 hospitalizations later I still have the ulcer and developed 2 more. I am scheduled to have surgery on May 12th. They are doing an exploratory first and then deciding what to do next. The surgeon is either going to do a GBP revision or a jeju something or other. Hopefully I won't have to have the open surgery. He is going to use the same incisions as before and I will have a few more. I have had such a terrible time. Most days I can't hold anything down. I was threatened that they were going to put a feeding tube in. I am severly mal-nourished. The pain gets unbearable at times. With my husband deployed and no family around it has been such a challenge to keep things in order. Hopefully this surgery will take care of the problem and I get to start all over. I have been on mostly liquids and the soft/pureed stage for most of the post-op time. Because I have not been able to get enough calories most of the time my weight loss has slowed to a snails pace. I also don't know how long I will be in the hospital. The Red Cross is sending my husband home for this. The Dr. said I could be there for as long as 2 weeks everything is up in the air right now. I guess when I wake up on Monday from surgery I will know more. I can't wait to get my life back. It has been on hold for almost 5 months now. To all the new members welcome. To all the oldies congratulations on all of your milestones to date. Take care all and I will post when I am up and around again.

Wendy

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

((((HUGS))))

I'm SO sorry to hear you've had such a hard time thru all of this. My prayers are going out for you. I HATE to hear when someone has troubles. I really really do. You would THINK they would know how to prevent complications, but they just don't. There is never a rhyme or reason to it. Keep your chin up, I'm expecting good things to come from this surgery for you!!!

Keep your chin up.. i'm so sorry this is happening to you, and for so long. Hopefully, this will be the final step to solving your issues. One upside.. you get to see your hubby. I'll be looking forward to your update after surgery. Take care of yourself and get some rest. Give your body time to heal.

Bless your heart. You have had alot of struggles and your hubby being deployed hasnt helped anything I know. I to had complications afterwards. Its a challange to say the least. If im right you probally dont feel like doing nothing do you? Or your totally unable to.

I think its wise they are going back in to look around and see what is up. Most likely they can fix the problem and you can go on from there. Stay strong honey. There will be one day you get up and feel.....well almost normal again i promise. Take care.
