Unhappy 3 week plateau... help?

Hello all,
I am stuck, I've hit a plateau, i am 6 weeks post rny surg. and everything was going well, till 3 weeks ago, and the weight loss slowed to a screeching halt. I feel like my body is changing, my clothes feel looser... but i would love to see it in the numbers! I walk, and bike, and have been eating correctly. suggestions? or am i worried for nothing? thank you for your replys

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Welcome to the board, thank you for joining us.
Congratulations on joining the Losers' Bench.

Yes, you are quite normal. Your weight loss will not come in one smooth fell swoop, but in humps and bumps.
You went through major surgery, and your body has to adjust to that, and to the new loop of digesting and abrsorbing. This takes time and a lot of adjustment of your body functions. So, your body will lose at the pace it's safe for your health, not at the speed your mind would like you to. This is as much a mind game as a physical change.
Your body right now is adjusting to the first big change.
Also, when the scale numbers don't move, is when your inches will fall off--you do say your clothes are getting loser, so you're doing well. Keep a record of your inches, not just you scale numbers, and that will show you that you are losing well.

(((((((HUGS)))))) May your journey go well.

Welcome to the boards. 6 weeks seems to be about the first big stall...there are many more to come. Just keep measuring yourself and that will help with the scale not moving at all. We have all been there and it really sucks. But listen to Doc, she has it dead on! Congrats on your loss so far!

My first stall was at about 2-3 weeks. They come and go, it's all part of the frustrating process! Just exerise and make sure you're getting all your protein and fluids. If you're doing that you're doing everything right and just let nature take it's course! It will come off, plus you've lost a lot quickly and you may be losing inches right now. Your body needs to catch up and it's a good thing because you want your skin to rebound and not get too saggy. try on some clothes that used to be too small and you may be pleasantly surprised!

I'm 3 weeks out today hit my stall at 2 weeks. The scale will go up a pound and down a pound but I've been sitting at the same number for about a week. It's frustrating; however, just like you my close are loser and I even had to get some new pants because my old ones were falling up. Take a deep breath. The scale will move again soon!

keep doing what you are doing and let the tool do it's thing! Toss out the scales or hide them....stick to the plan and it can't help but work!

I know exactly how you feel!!! I hit a stall between weeks 2-3 also. How fustrating it was and is. How could I be eating so little and not loose!! I just quit weighing myself daily and went to weekly weights with high hopes, but was disapointed then too. Everyone says it will pass and the weight will come off and I have faith in the people on this board and in myself. Know you are not alone in your fustrations.

Yep. My scale has not moved since May 22, at week 3. It is very frustrating, to eat <1000 cals/day and still not lose. grrr. All we can do is hang in there. Our bodies have no choice but to drop the weight.
