Default Hi Everyone

Hello everyone! I am sorry it has been so long since I have been on here. I miss hearing how everyone is doing. I have been so caught up in my new job and hubby and I are crazily TTC that my mind has been mainly on ovulation lol. Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well. I finally got under the 200 lbs mark. I actually went straight to 195 in a weekend from 203 with me just eating mainly salad. I have been doing that for a while now, cause the weight loss was getting so slow. Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Thanks for hopping in and for the update.
Congratulations on your weight loss, glad to hear you are doing well.
About what you are eating. Make sure you are getting in the recommended amount of protein, as if you don't that will throw a curve in your weight loss. Also, since you are well over 6 months out of surgery, try to get in as much protein as you can from regular food, not shakes and supplements.

When you get to 6 months out, it becomes more of an effort to lose weight. The first 6 months the wt. comes off rather quickly, as this is the honeymoon phase where wt. loss is at it's quickest rate, with minimal effort. Now is when the work comes in. Be completely aware of your protein intake, exercise, portion control, vitamins and calcium citrate intake, as these factors all contribute to good health and a slow but steady weight loss rate. Some stalls will still occur. I lost 100 pounds in 7 months post op. Lost about 20 pound prior to surgery, and a total of 150. So that last 50 pounds took me until about 2 years time, so you can see the slow rate of loss I had past 7 months. Good luck. DAVE
