Default My 6 week appointment

Well today was a bizarre day. Parts good...parts bad. I went in for my appointment & met a woman in the waiting room that was wonderful. (my Dr. was an hour behind) She has lost 220lbs and was just very inspirational. I enjoyed the hour waiting & didn't want to stop chatting with her! Anyway, went in and got weighed. I lost 6 lbs in the past 3 weeks. I was disappointed. My Dr. was a little disappointed, but then he said....Jenn it's ok. Remember that you had to do the IV steroids? He reminded me how those steroids can do strange things. He then told me to start trying pretty much any food I want to try. (within reason) I was one that had 3 weeks liquids and 3 weeks soft foods. I thought I would try some chicken chili....good protein, not too harsh....chew, chew, chew ugh, I have been paying for that Chili all night. Something in it did not agree. Anyhow tomorrow is another day. I am worried however, to do anything new for lunch while I am at work. So scared that I will get sick. Well thanks everyone for listening, I just wanted to share!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

You are doing great!!! I was scared too when I went back to work at first. I did tuna all week long and tried the new stuff on the weekends. Good luck to you.

(((((HUGS))))
You're doing well. Everything is trial and error for your new pouch, so long as you are sticking to your surgeon and nut's instructions, all's well that ends well.

Chicken was hard for me at first. It just didn't go down well at all and sat like a lead balloon. Eggs weren't a big favorite at first either. But what you can't eat today you may be able to eat tomorrow. But after trying eggs and chicken a couple of times it was months before I tried them again. But now I can eat everything, within reason of course.

New foods are still tough for me and I'm 4 months out! And the same thing I ate for a week all of a sudden one day won't go down. It's frustrating, but it's all part of it. I'm glad your appt went well and you had someone encouraging to talk to! It's nice to see that this surgery does work!

Sounds like you are doing well, 6 pounds in 3 weeks is good thats 2 pounds a week, ya know slow and steady wins the race. Also chicken was and is still hard for me sometimes. It is all trial and error but I understand working you dont want the trial and find out its an error. I hope things get easier food wise for you. Hang in there you are doing great
