I was thinking and looking at myself in a full length mirror. i have decided to try to figure out how to get back up to 165 lbs. My 'new' dr suggested this as well. We are working on some things nutritionally speaking. He would also like me to have a scope done I'm not getting in enough food and it is due to some discomfort. The dr says I may have some type of scarring or adhesions or possibly a kink somewhere and while it isnt urgent, it is suggested that I have this done. He has had experience with WLS patients and has never seen my issues eating as far out as i am. THANK YOU FOR PEGGING ME THE WIERDO lol. He seems to think at 1 year post op I should be eating like a normal person, just smaller. I still have issues with certain textures, meats, breads etc, and having to lift my arms above my head to move food along doesnt help LOL.
So i didnt want anyone to be alarmed with the -24lbs in my stats. i raised my goal weight to 165 from 140. Hopefully I will get there sometime soon. Being this small just isnt normal. LOL.

i gained some weight. I dont know if its TOM or the extra shake at night. i hope it stays...never thought i would be saying that!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

i didnt mean to make you nervous about your own situation. i downplay mine. its a bit severe though. i have seen this coming for some time now. i didnt WANT to know. i mean i am not in any pain per se. but i didnt want to know that something was wrong. denial is a funny thing. i will go eventually. i dont have medical insurance right now so unless there is some type of emergent issue, it has to wait. i will def keep everyone posted here. you guys are my family
i would suggest if you are having issues, talk to your surgeon and get it checked out as soon as possible.

Sounds like your new doc is taking good care of you - glad to hear it! Will you're ins kick in soon? You may have pre-existing issues so check it out so you will know what you're dealing with money-wise, it may be best to go ahead and check things out. Find out how your ins works ~ are you eligible for cobra? If so, It may be well worth it to pay the big bucks to keep from showing a lapse in coverage - this is how it works in Florida..... Let me know if you have any other questions, again I can only tell you FL law but, this is important!, so you really need to know the facts for your state.

Kenya, mine was kinked last year remember? I couldn't keep anything down, is that what's going on with you? Be very careful, I went like that for over a month, then I went into so much cramping and throwing up bile. I finally had a second surgery and felt like a million bucks after that. I am 15 months out like you and I still don't get hungary or eat much at all. Three mouthfuls and I'm full, but I feel great so that what I look at. I get in my protein and my vitamins, water etc. I hope you get your problem worked out sweetie. I'm glad your doctor is on top of things. Please be sure to let us know how all goes ok? We ARE your family honey!!

it is the same here but i cannot afford cobra. i would have to take it over the way my ins was when i left the job, family plan, which is close to 1000/ mo. cant afford that. so it has to wait.
worse case is if i end up in pain i can be admitted thru the ER and medicaid will pick up the cost. im waiting though. i think im ok.

I think it's a good thing....I'm not sure what the number is...you'll know though...I still have issues with some things....but I still have to chew chew chew sometimes or I'm in trouble. I thought it had to do with being so strict along the way and really following the plan. I pretty much eat what I want now, still avoiding carbs as much as possible....

keep us posted!
