Default Confessions Of A Dumb Girl, Warning To Others!!

As I started this journey, one of the first things I was warned about was the significant increase in fertility of women who are of childbearing age. Ok, point taken. I had tried three ago to get pregnant to no avail. I had not used birthcontrol for over a year with my current boyfriend. I took the warning seriously. However, I seriously underappreciated it. With only 30lbs. lost, two weeks post surgery I became pregnant. No, that's not a typo, it's two weeks. Odds for both me and the baby were quite awful, especially that early after surgery. At eight weeks gestation, I lost the pregnancy this past week. I'm coping with the loss, but I am now really confused because I'm not sure how much of what I felt after surgery was due to the surgery or to the pregnancy. My energy levels have just plain sucked. I've been hungry all the time. It also has been quite stressful worrying about my post surgical healing and the fact that I am not married, so I'm sure my old emotional eating habits have led to the hunger. In a sense, I'm starting the journey over again at two months out. I already feel like I've stretched my pouch out and can eat more volume than I should be able to at this point. I just don't know how to feel and all I really want to do is eat, eat, eat. I'm trying to wrap my brain around every emotion I have and just move on, but I just don't know what to do first. I'm hoping the pre surgicals are much smarter than me and learn from my mistake.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

((((((HUGS))))))
I am sorry to hear you are having a hard time in many respects right now.
For getting back on track with your eating, be sure to concentrate first on proteins...when you eat, eat proteins first, then veggies, and carbs last, as for most of you, carbs are trigger foods. Protein lasts longer in your pouch, and will make you feel less hungry. Also, be sure you keep up with your fluids, as sometimes, thirst is confused with hunger. If you are well hydrated, you should feel hunger less.

((((((HUGS)))))) May your journey go well.

i am sorry for your loss.
healing the emotional takes time.
as for the eating, back to basics. 2 months is still quite early out. i say get back to the rules. drink all your fluids, keep them separate from eating, and protein first. like riding a bicycle keep us posted.

What a traumatic time ~ it's no wonder you're having a hard time with healing and eating issues. Follow your rules for the pouch and spend some extra time and TLC on you. Will keep you in our prayers.

I am so sorry for the loss and what you have been through. As like the others have said, back to basics. You can get it back, once you are on tract it will start to work again. One day at a time, one step at a time. Good luck to you, wishing you peace and happiness.
