| Newbie | Hi everyone, I'm very encouraged by all of your stories. I have NOT had the surgery, although I am very seriously considering it. I have an appointment tomorrow. I am 43, new grandma (OMA in German) and mother of 4. What can I say about my weight that you all haven't felt or heard. I'm at the tail end of my disgust and depression..and am hoping that I make the right decision. Has anyone been in therapy afterward to curb the emotional eating triggers? or any other reason that might be helpful...without violating your privacy of course. Thanks so much. Janet |

Height: | Welcome to the site Janet. How do you like it in Germany? There is always the possibility that I could end up in Ramstein Germany since that is an Air Force base that is big for my husband's job. I have had the surgery in April of this year, and I am currently trying to find some help in the therapy aspect right now. It is hard to find ways to outlet your frustration now that you can't eat. I did start to replace eating with exercise, but now I am trying to rest an injury and have noticed myself lashing out and swearing a lot more than usual. I told my neighbor that the less that comes into my mouth...the more swearing comes out of it. Janae |
