I was just sitting here thinking yesterday i was officially 16 weeks out from surgery and so far i have lost between 56 and 58 pounds is that a normal amount for 16 weeks out . i personally think that is kind of slow for 4 months out . please tell me your thoughts and stories , i've been at a stand still it seems forever i weent to the doctor june 9th and i've lost 14 pounds since then which i guess isn't bad . I guess i'm just afraid this isn't working right ,which i know is normal forgive me for my rambling i am at work doing nothing bored right now and this is just one of the things that make me go Mmm!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Everyone loses at a different rate.
There is no *normal* so to speak.
The basic curve is, half of your excess weight goes in the first 6 months, one quarter in the secone 6 months, and the last quarter over the next 6 months to a year.
Your ticker says you have 49lbs left to lose, and you say you've lost 58lbs post op. That means that you've already lost over half of what you expect to lose--way above the curve, congratulations!!!

it's not a race with other, so u cant compare yourself. Remember to exercise and eat protein first, lots of water. Give yourself alot of TLC, you deserve it.

Hmmm ... let's see now ... <engineer pulling out slide rule> 16 x 7 = 112 days. 58 pounds lost/112 days = 0.517857143 pounds of poopoo less per day. Ever go on a diet that could make you lose 1/2 a pound a day for months at a time? I'd say you're right where you should be, and your body is just regrouping for another run. You're putting it through quite a workout, and it needs to adjust to the new situation it's facing. It's healing from the abuse it took in March while it's trying to accommodate the fact that it's using food differently, and it needs to figure out which end is up before it goes tearing down the scales again. Possess your soul in patience, and your journey will continue shortly. In the meantime, be good, eat like you're supposed to, and see how the clothes you were wearing last month fit you now!
