Default Dumb Girl Checking In

Thanks to everyone for your kind words of support and for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers. I took a couple of days off work and just wallowed. I was quite naughty with my eating and grazed for a couple of days. Then I just decided to throw myself back into this thing head first. I had been walking and riding my bike up to that point, but last week I joined a gym!!! I have been swimming every day after work. Gosh, it feels great. I'm nearly 11 weeks out and have lost 54 lbs. I'm very pleased, but annoyed cos with that much weight gone, I expected to be down more than one pant size. When I weighed this much before, I was in a size 20, now I'm still in a 22. Just annoying, that's all. I'm pleased with my loss and happy to be back on track. My energy has even returned. I am convinced that my fatigue was first trimester related. I am even sleeping better since starting swimming. Thanks again for all your support! I was really concerned about being judged harshly for messing up, but everyone here was so understanding and empathetic. You guys are truly all wonderful.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

So glad you are feeling better - in all ways. And the weight loss but not much in size change - that happened to me too - lost like 60 pounds and only went down about 2 sizes - then in the last month only lost about 10 pounds but lost another two sizes - actually blew past one size and almost just out of the next . So the body plays a lot of catch up/revamp...it's all good!
Continued success to you!!

Glad to hear you're doing better. Now that you've upped your exercise, I'm sure your inches will go down, muscle at the same weight, is much less in volume than fat. You're doing fine, and the point is, if you fall off the wagon, just chuck yourself back up on it. Oh, and be sure you take all your vitamins and supplements.

Glad to hear you are doing better! I would like to put in my $0.02 on sizes. I think I stuck in a 24 WAY too long. I probably should have been a 26 but didn't want to admit it. I wore my clothes VERY tight or atleast my jeans...everything else stretched! I was down 30lbs and my 24's were just starting feel like they actually fit with out cutting a roll. I was down about 50 or so before I went into a 22. I am now down 80 and fitting into 18's and can still get away with some 20's. I am down from a 3x or 24 top to a 14/16. I must say that if I wore my pants they same way I did pre-op I would probably be in 16's but now I like things to fit and I don't like to roll over the top. I will probably have to lose another 10-15lbs for a 16 to fit comfortably. I think once you get to a 16 or lower you move down faster in sizes. I am in the same boat with ya!

I'm glad to hear you're doing better, I was worried about you. Simming is a wonderful thing and I'm glad you're having so much fun with it. That's important!
As for the pant sizes, it was weird for me too. I stayed in the same 22's forever (about -70lbs) and now these last 30lbs or so my 16's are starting to fall off. It catches up and then you have to be careful with how much you spend because you'll only wear clothes a month or 2.

congrats on getting back on the wagon. i should say i have found for me with the sizes, i lost the most inches during stalls. i know everyone gets depressed because the scale doesnt move but i started looking forward to them. and yes, around 14/16 the sizes go much faster. be careful what you wish for
