Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  *Got a Surgery Date* I got my surgery date of August 4th!  I'm so happy! The day before my 13th Wedding Anniversary. But I'm not that concerned, I'll take what was given and be happy that, I have to cancel the trip we were planning that weekend.....no biggie! We can celebrate the 2 dates together next year. I've already went on several trips this year. I feel very fortunate that this process has been short and simple for me to get a date....compared to others that I have read about. I was expecting it to be a few more months. The sooner the better!I'm not worried about the surgery just hoping there are no complications after. I've had my appendix & gallbladder removed already plus a C-Section so I'm prepared for the pain & experience of the whole surgery thing. I feel like a pro at that.  I do have a question, I am wondering if I will be able to go to the beach 3 weeks out from surgery? I'm thinking not, I probly need to be close to home while getting adjusted, but my mom and sis want me to go with them. I love this site and hope to be helpful to others, as everyone has been to me. You and I have quite a bit in common!!! My surgery date is August 5th and August 4th is my 10 year anniversary!! What a ca-winky-dink (coincedence)!! Congratulations on your date!! It did go quite quickly for you! I hope all goes well. I myself have never been put under so I'm nervous about the surgery but excited for the new life that will come after!!!

 My doc does not require any pre liquids but does want me to loose close to 20 lbs. I'm thinking on doing a liquid crash diet anyway myself for a week to loose some weight. How about you?

Congrads on your surgery date and wow are you in for the ride of your life and it is so life changing for the better, health and all. The date is only a few weeks away, I am so excited for you. It was the best thing I ever done for myself and am so greatfull every day for how my health and just my whole life has changed. I feel like a new person now, and when I look at my old pictures it is like who was that person. As far as going to the beach 3 weeks after surgery, you will know if you can handle it and make sure you bring a chair along if you do go and to take it easy and to take care and not to overdo yourself at the beach. In just a few weeks you will be on the losers side of the bench and I will keep it warm for you till you get here. You will be in my prayers for a succesfull surgery and and a speedy recovery.

I forgot to mention that it is really nice that you can share your journey with someone who is having her surgery close to yours and I also want to congradulate joshy mommy on her surgery date also. I will keep a seat warm on the loserside of the bench for you too. I am just so excited for the both of you!!!! We are all here to help you on your journey if you need any help. I would never be this far if not for the wonderful people here, they are the greatest!!!!
