| New to Losing Weight Hi All, I just joined this group having just had my gastric bypass surgery a short 2 weeks ago. I'm looking forward to hearing from a lot of you about your journeys, and I will keep you all updated about mine. It's nice to hear and read about those of you who have undergone this life-changing procedure as well. Here's to many pounds lost! Can't wait to touch base with you all...Oh, and I am getting ready to order vitamins, any suggestions on those that taste good versus those that tatse bad?.....Cine

Welcome! I'm sure you've figured out quickly that you've found a great place. We look forward to getting to know you as well. I'm glad everything has gone well so far!
As for vitamins, I still do flinstone chewables and most don't. I also do the calcium citrate from Twin lab, but if they really are getting the calcium citrate chewables that come in like chocolate or caramel, I will be trying those. These are pretty big and have a strong citrusy 'bite' to them. Oher than that I do a sublingual cherry B12 and a biotin capsule 5000mcg also from walmart. Good luck!

Hi! Welcome to the board and to the Loser's Bench!
I love the name Gidget. There was a Gidget marathon on cable this weekend. It was fun.
I have weird tastes. Let's see...I use Bariatric Advantage chewable Iron. I use Citrical petites for calcium (NOT recommended so soon post-op). I chew two kid's multis/day.
Nothing tastes right 2 weeks post-op, so I don't know how much that helps.

| Hi! welcome to our home You will get lots of good advice and support here ~ there's tons of reading to do and there's usually someone somewhere in the world on line when you have a question or need to vent! Mostly, I'd suggest you ask for a free sample to try, taste wise, maybe go to a local health food place? then when you find what you like, you can look for good deals online. My doc suggested Centrum Senior so I get the minerals and the calcium citrate, be sure is citrate, not carbonate. liquid or chewable is the most absorbable. Happy losing!

Welcome and congrats on your new life!!! Everyone here seem to take different things, so I am sure that you will find what works for you as far as vitamins go. I get all I need from my local friendly Wally World with the exception of my monthly B12 shot from my PCP. I take daily (pill form not that I am farther out) 2 Calcium + D, Vit E, B1 (Thiamine), Biotin, Ferrous Iron, and a multi vit (try to get a multi that does NOT have iron and calcium in it. When I first started, I took all of the chewables from Bariatricadvantage.com (which I got right from my surgeons office) until I could no longer stand the taste of them. Good luck to you.
