Default Anyone had stricture?

Aloha all,
I believe that those who responded to my question re: barfing regularly after eating ...is correct. I do have the condition called stricture. Can anyone share their experience for corrective procedure for this? Is it painful? I hear that they send a balloon into your esophogus and stretch your tubes.

*for now I am still only consuming soups and poi.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Do a search with the word "stricture" -- use the search button in the navigation bar at the top--and many many threads will come up, you can read the experiences in them. I can't begin to count those who've experienced this.

I haven't had a stricture in the WLS sense, but prior to surgery I had an esophageal problem that required them to stretch my cardiac sphincter every other year or so. So I am no stranger to swallowing the reamer. I'd usually plan to take the day off, not for the pain, but for the sedatives they used. I think the stricture repair is somewhat similar. Scary, but hardly in the same league as what you've already been through!

Good luck! Ain't it nice to have a good diagnosis?

I went to see the nutr. and the doc. today. I'm back on "soft foods" for now until I see the surgeon next week.
