Hello, my name is Barbara I am from Northwest Indiana...Had open RNY Feb., 2001. Married 40 yrs.

Age 59, granny of 4
Work at a heart center (Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer)
1 complication 2 months post surgery, Huge Hernia, Had repair but never will be the same...mesh instead of muscle...
But was worth this risk.
275/145
Love the new me and weight is steady most of the time..I do play with 5 pounds depending on salt intake.
I am a high energy person
Hobbies Riding my quarter horse and reading...
Craig, you are an inspiration to all....

Hey Barbara,

I also had the hernia. I dont know about you, but I had TERRIBLE ab cramps post hernia repair. Yikes. I was screaming in the recovery room.
