Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

It will get better. Your hormones are definitely all out of whack because of the surgery. Hoping it gets better for you.

I dreamt, while in the hospital immediately post-op, of starting my periods again. Thank God not all dreams come true. LOL

Hoping you feel better soon. You may want to call your doc to get some help, hormonally (like birth control for a couple months). I work in a GYN office. You don't want to get anemic.

The rapid weight loss will toss your hormones to the winds.
Estrogen is stored (and some are produced) in the fat cells, so with the fat cells melting away, tons of estrogen are released into your blood stream. This will make your cycle wacky, and also render hormonal birth control useless. You should set up an appt with your gyno just to make sure there's nothing wrong, and as judijo says, make sure you don't get anemic. Hormonal therapy may or may not control the bleeding.
However, this won't go on forever, once you lose your excess weight and things stabilize, so will yoru bleeding and cycle.

OMGoodness, I am right there with ya. I haven't had surgery yet and yet my cycles have just been crazy the past 6 months or so. I hate it! Hang in there, hon. Hopefully they'll get better soon!

Oh thanks for posting this!! I got my period in the hospital the day after surgery (almost 4 weeks ago) and it's been non-stop since. It's good to know I'm not the only one!

ahh jeez. i am on birth control pills, i have been on the same ones for 8 years and they always worked great. THIS SUCKS. i am on lo-dose BCP so i'm going to my doctor to see if i can try something different.
and crap, i might be in trouble if my birth control has been rendered useless...crap. i specifically asked my surgeon about this and he said it would still work.
