Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  Newbie in South Carolina Hello Everyone! My name is Michele. Had a open RNY done August 22, 2006. Down 34 pounds so far. I'm on phase 3, but still having a bit of trouble eating everything. I woke up this morning with a bad tummy ache, I'm hoping this will pass soon. Other than that, I am feeling much better! No more gasping for air walking up the driveway. Went to my regular doc last week and I am officially off my diabetes meds and cholesterol meds. I am still taking half a tiny BP pill.
