Default 2 years Post Op and WIGGING OUT!

Hello all - I'm 2 yrs. post op as of 1-12-09. My journey began at 293 with a Lap Roux-N-Y which was textbook perfect and I currently weigh between 173 & 178 depending on the day. The least amount I've weighed was 169. My Dr. was happy with where I was but.....
I have my 2 year post op visit on 1-20 and today I weighed in @ 180. I am freaking out. I've had some issues - my vit. D is always really low, I've had to have 2 egd's to stretch me, in Sept. she did a diagnositc lap on me - found 3 internal hernias and a kinked colon - not from my baratric surgery. These were caused by adhesions from a previous surgery. I am terrified of gaining all my weight back. Anyone else been there done that??? If so, what did you do to get back on track? Tx, Michelle

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Sorry, I'm not that far out but hope you get some help from the old-timers. Try going back to the basics: eat all your protein first, then veggies and fruit. No water before, during and after your meal. Drink lots of water in between.

Good luck and let us know how you're doing.

welcome. sorry to hear about the gain. dont freak out. just get back to basics as barb suggested. also if you do a search on here there is an article called the "pouch rules" it is long but well worth the read.

ps a lot of people i have run into far out who are bouncing back tend to have forgotten not to eat and drink at the same time. watch out for that. it is easy to slip back into.

Well the normal thing is to swing up so that your body finds that comfortable spot...
being 4 years post op i have gained more then that but want to take just 20 of it off.

SO get on track and use that gift you have!
go back to basics and let that tool guide you!
i am getting on track and my goal is 20 lbs off

Thank you all for your input. I guess maybe I just needed the reassurance that I can do this.

And yes Fr1endly - I will join you. I'd like to take at least 20 lbs. off to. I'll keep checking in on you. Thanks again. M

I will be 4 years post-op in June this year and have gained 20 lbs. I would like to take it back off too. I tried the "pouch rules" but failed at that so I'm just going back to not drinking before, during, and after and getting back to eating really healthy. I have cheated and had cookies over Christmas and right now the pool where I go to exercise is closed until the 19th so it will be hard for me. I will have to do it strictly thru eating. I can't walk for exercise because I am putting off a knee replacement. : ( Let's do this together?
