Hi , my name is Kate and I am in the begining process of WLS. I just got the call from the surgeons office today for a phone number for the ins. co. You would have thought I wont the lottery. I just mailed the paper work in a few days ago. I need to remember this feeling for when I am annoyed at the wait latter on....

Any way, who am I ?
I have 4 children 3 sons, 1 daughter. and have been married for 8 years to a wonderfull man. ( most of the time any way) The kids are 9,7,4,and 2. We also homeschool them all threw a virtual school program. I went to college to be a social worker but ended up being a stay at home mom.

I have been all over the place with LC diets and tend to lose 20-70 pounds and then reagin it. I decided that its time to do WLS.

I love the idea of chating with others as I have enjoyed a LC group the past few years.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Thank you all. The biggest worries I have seem to be the same ones that most people on here have.... What if I loose to much weight before surgery? I have RA that is mild and have been able to deal with it for 3 years but now its getting worse. Doc offered meds and I like to control it threw diet. Any way I worry that RA wont quilfy as a co morbid issue. General arthritis is weight bearing joints does.I would hope that it would actually sink it but maybe its an issue of ...well she is going to be a mess either way.... What do you all think? I dont want to go on the anti inflamatory meds since I think I read some where you shouldnt take them after WLS? Any one have any comments?
