Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

look thru our threads. we all stalled at 3 weeks. its amazing. listen, you just had MAJOR surgery. your entire innerds have been re-arranged. patience is your only choice. and by the way once the scale does start moving again you will dump a bunch of lbs all at once. hang in there i know its easier said, but trust me, i've been there

Tell me about it sister. I had my surgery 1 week before yours and I have only lost 3 lbs. since Dec. 16th. That's a monthI am considering quiting eating all together. And what makes it even worse is that I go for my 2 month check-up with my surgeon tomorrow. He better not be nasty to me. Please pray I don't cold cock my surgeon tomorrow. Lord please give me the strength to refrain. Didn't mean to hijack your tread but your post hit home so hard I couldn't help myself. I guess misery loves company. I am most definately your company. Hey I just thought of something maybe everyone needs to send that whoosh fairy our way!!!
Please everyone send the woosh fairy of weight loss to Sarah and I.

Hey Sarah,

Ditto on what Kenya says. Like she says easier said than done but we have been in your shoes. I still remember like it was yesterday and we would all go back and forth and think something was wrong and now look at us veterans. Your time will come.
Like Kenya says your insides have been reworked and have new plumbing and etc....hang tight and trust us it will happen and soon you will get a whoosh~!!!!

Oh Kenya I'm 8 weeks out! I've already had my three week stall that lasted two weeks. Thanks for the thoughts though.

Janice - it's good to know I'm not alone.

You're going to lose in humps and bumps, not in one fell swoop.
3 weeks, 3 months, just when Century Club is around the corner, just after you've joined Century Club, just when Onederland is around the corner, just after you've passed the Onderland mark, all seem to be common stall points.
Your body is adjusting to your rapid loss, it needs to, so give it time.
Also, this is the time when your clothes size drops, which is why the veterans tell you to measure and follow the inches as well as your scale. When your scale stalls is when the inches move, and vice versa.
If you are sticking to your surgeon's progarm, then the weight loss will come when your body is ready. It didn't take you a day or a week for you to balloon up to the point where you decided to go for surgery, it took you years, so if it takes one year for the weight to come off, then it can be termed a miracle.

Janice, if you stop eating, that's a sure fire way for your weight loss to stall, your body is going to go into starvation mode and just hock up everything including water, and you may even gain a few lbs by doing so, because your body starts stocking everything up.
