Monday - last nut visit. All boxes checked on the application. That was the last thing.

Yesterday - submitted for approval. Could be real soon now - maybe by mid-February.

While waiting, Peanut has learned how to eat the way we do, and has lost the required amount of pre-op weight without having to make a fuss about it. Her nut (same one I used) is thrilled with the way she has learned and applied her lessons.

She was going to wait until spring break, when I will be home to help, but she's getting impatient and even that extra month now seems too long. I may have some plans for spring break that would be upset if she were convalescing, so faster is better.

That's about it. She gets winded doing the laundry, and is sick and tired of huffing and puffing. She would love to lose the CPAP she was put on after her required sleep test.

Tell her I said congradulatons. I totally understand her inpatience. The last month before surgery for me was like torture. But I am a very inpatient person anyway.(Or so my husband says) Good Luck Peanut!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, once you make that decision to do this surgery you don't want to wait anymore. I'm so happy for her and impressed that she is trying so hard to learn our way of eating. It's very difficult when you can still eat a lot of food and don't have the dumping syndrome to keep you in check. She should be proud of her accomplishments.

That's great news! She seems to be doing a fantastic job, and I have no doubt she will continue to be successful on her journey! We're definitely saving a seat for her on the Loser's Bench.
