Default Hi I am Kristy

Hello! My name is Kristy and I just came across this by compleat acident!

I am 22 ( Ok........ I will be 23 in like a week) and I had Open RNY on Dec13th 2005. I was 347 and am now at 233. I know I should be very proud of my weight loss thus far. I am not. I am still very much over weight and not at all happy with the way I look.

I am hoping that getting intouch with a message board might help me to deal with some of the issues I am having. Maybe some one out there is in the same boat as me. I truly hope not I do not wish any one to be going through the same stuff I am.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Welcome to the board Kristy!!
Thank you for joining us, I hope you will feel at home here.
((((((((HUGS)))))))))
You are still within the honeymoon frame, so you can still make the most of it.
Does your surgeon have support groups, do you go to the meetings regularly? Do you have a PCP who is supportive? These people will help you with your journey, too.

As for the technical aspects of posting in this board, the first place to look for how tos is the FAQ on the navigation bar above for the board, right above the revolving before and after pics.
Also check the Techincal Question subforum of the News Please Read forum. If you can't find answers to you tech Qs there, feel free to post your question there.

Happy postings!!

Hello Kristy!! Welcome to the boards. I had my surgery in July and hit a 4 week plateau. I was very upset about it. I understand what you mean about being happy about what you have taken off, but not really happy about what you haven't taken off. I expected more to come off quickly. It didn't. I just try to increase my exercising, Get the protein in, and sip sip sip all day. The scale is moving slowly for me. As long as it is not going up I'll just have to keep trying daily. It is truly a struggle. Good luck to you.
