Unhappy Hi all

Greetings all! I came across your website and after viewing was very excited to join! You all are right where I am or have been and the encouragement I saw was very cool. I had surgery on August 23rd, 2006 but due to complications (about a month in the hospital) I am way behind in everything including how much I have lost (about 20 pounds) the scale tells me so but I can not yet see any difference anywhere I was getting discouraged but feel better after reading some of your posts. I look forward to learning more about each of you and I have to say everyone is so upbeat and very good motivators! What a nice way to start my morning! Thanks!

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Welcome LouLou,
I'm glad things are going better for you now. A month in the hospital couldn't have been much fun. What type of complications did you have? So glad to have you on the boards, it's a great source of information and encouragement.

Welcome to the board LouLou.
Awww, sorry to hear that you had complications that kept you in the hospital for so long. I'm sure, though, once your body settles down from the bump you had, you will start to lose and be able to see the results very well. It takes some time for you to be able to see the new you, but you very surely will, follow your surgeon's instructions, and trust in yourself and the Big Guy above.
((((((HUGS)))))) May your journey go well.

Hi LouLou. Glad your onboard. I'm sorry to hear that you were having such a tough time. What happened? I hope that everything is going as planned now.
Don't worry about the slow start. -20 is great and the rest will come off, in spite of the doubts you might have. Feel better and keep us posted on your progress.

Welcome LouLou - glad to have you here. Sorry to here about the bumpy start but thankful things are picking up for you now.

I am just 7 weeks post op myself and am having a hard time seeing any progress yet, but the scales keep telling me the weight is going down.

Glad your hear.
