I just found your site and joined. I had WLS on 8/6/2006 and have lost around 80 lbs. I am trying hard to reach 100 lbs but wouldn't you know it, after going through the surgery, I had to have surgery to remove 1/2 my thyroid so now I am on meds for that and my body is stuck and I can't seem to lose the last 20 lbs. I am happy though because before surgery I was an insulin and oral meds type II diabetic and very ill and on so many meds I can't even remember. Now I am no meds for diabetes and only take my vitamins and of course my thyroid meds. I can play with grandchildren and have more energy than I have had in years. I am frustrated with last 20 lbs but outside of that I am happy and would recommend this to anyone. As a matter of fact, when I see someone really obese I want to tell them about my surgeon but I don't want to hurt their feelings so I don't.

Hello and welcome.. Glad you found us. Looks like you have done well on your journey. I am on thyroid meds also. I think that is why I have so many stalls. That and the fact that I have had 5 surgery's in 6 months could have something to do with it.. lol this is a wonderful site with a lot of great people who are always willing to help.

Thank you Dixie...just staying focused. I also really need to get a Wii like everyone is talking about, just can't afford it right now with the down turn in the economy our business is down 85% - cabinet business and here in the area I live in we were hit hard...but trying to save for one, they sound fun
