Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Ok.... Day 3 after surgery.

I came home the 2nd day after surgery....woohooo. Glad to be home and in my own bed again. The only problem with hospitals is that they dont "let" you sleep. Every couple of hours they come in to check your blood pressure, temp and oxygen levels, I always seemed to have dozed off when they had to do it.

One thing I will tell everyone!!!!! Make sure you get up to go pee as often as possible!!!! I didnt do it and then I couldn't, and they had to put a catheter in me while I was a wake... YUCK & OUCH!!!!!

I am doing really great I guess. The day of surgery and the 1st day after, I felt like "OMG what have I done?". But now I am past that!!! I feel great, my incision is healing well, they took my drain line out before I left the hospital, and I am up and moving around alot. I would definately go through those 2 days again if I had to.

My g/f who had the surgery a couple of years ago stopped to see me today and couldn't believe I was up and dressed and looking so good moving around. I guess once I got rid of the anesthesia in my system I bounced back quicker than she did.

I have a GREAT support system in my hubby and family and friends. Everyone wants to come over and "help", but I ask "help with what?". We may even go for a short walk after dinner tonight.

You guys have all been great and I am so glad to be part of the community of people.

I know I just had surgery, but if anyone has questions, feel free to ask!!!!!! It is really fresh in my mind.

Hugs and LOVE to ALL!!!!!!

Congratulations on joining the Losers' Bench!!
However good you are feeling, please do listen carefully to your body and take things easy and one day at a time, you just had MAJOR surgery that rearranged your plumbing, so, even if the incisions on your skin are small, the cutting and stapling done inside you is MAJOR, and you are still healing, and will be for a while.
((((HUGS)))) May your recovery be uncomplicated.

I agree with Doc--take it easy. I felt great after surgery but it hit me hard about day 5. Sip...sip...sip and walk some (helps move the gas out). Let family help with household chores and things like that. Congrats on your success so far.
