| OMG...so tired
I am 16 days out and I am so tired that I can barely function. I am getting right at 64 oz of fluid daily (and it is taking everything I have), 60g protein (if I am lucky) but under 400 calories. My husband is out of town so I am on my own with the toddler. I think getting up at 5am and going all day then trying to do to the gym is just wearing me out. Any advice? I know, I know...i am only 2 weeks out..take it easy...

This is very normal. They said to me that it would be like that for 6-8 weeks with our bodies healing and getting our energy back. Sure enough I got mine back but it was amazing how tired I got.
hang in there.

You will be tired for a while, it is very normal. Make some nap time for you both during the day and just keep doing what you are doing. It does get better!!

What you're feeling is very normal. Hang in there. You will see it gradually getting better, and yes, definitely take care of yourself and be sure you don't over do it.

Peanut had her surgery a week before you and she is going through the same thing. You'll shrink out of it, and then ... look out world, here she comes!!!

Oh I know! I was amazed at how tired I was. I didn't really have a lot of pain, just wiped out all the time. I can't imagine how you are taking care of a toddler. Hope you have some friends/family that could maybe take over just so you can get a nap in.

2 weeks out and going to the gym? Mmmm. Honey I think if it was me..... now Im saying me........I would wait four 4 weeks before attempting that unless its very light excercise. The reason I state that is my surgeon told me not to do anything as far as excerise to my tummy for several months out because of the risk of getting a hernia. Why? those little holes they made are still holes right now and the last thing you want is for them to errupt into a hernia.
As far as the other stuff..... Your body isnt getting the fuel it once had. That is what I blamed mine on. You will get stronger but you need to let yourself heal some first ok? Take care sweetie and dont let it bother you asking for help from family or friends to help out right now since your hubby is away.

Tomrrow I hit 8 weeks post op. I went to work for 4 hours yesterday morning then drove 250 miles, and put in another couple of hours work (business emails and phone calls to the office) at my hotel. Got up at 6am this morning went to a morning event starting at 7:30 am where I had to meet and speak to about 20 people individually, then drove to another client meeting and then drove back home the same 250 miles. Just another 12 hour day for me. Oh yeah I did 2 loads of laundry before I left Wednesday (before I went to work) and tooks 2 trunks downstairs.
I went through exactly what you are going through and wondered how long it would be before I could consider myself normal again. My 2nd week, I went to work 3-4 hours per day and thought I would die by the time I got home.
You will soon have more energy than you remember having in recent history.
The inconveniences and slight discomfort during this WL journey are so insignificant when you consider the big picture. I am not minimalizing it, I felt the drain during that 2nd week in particular, I discovered 'dumping' and I am still in a bit of a 2 week stall in weight loss but I know not to concenrtate on the day to day results without considering the long term picture I am after.
Good luck and keep positive.

My surgeon wants me exercising now--just no weights for the first 6 weeks. I upped my calories today some by adding in a snack and that seems to have helped. Dr. Houston doesn't want us eating snacks but dang, I can't get in enough protein or calories if I don't.
